Welcome back Chatbot fans. Similar to the connection widget and the email widget, the navigate widget is an internal widget where you could take people at the end or at any point in a chat flow and move them somewhere else.
We’ve seen this with buttons. Remember when we had a quick question, and we had specific responses we were able to associate one of those responses with a page, we had the option to where if a person clicked a certain button, we could send them to a specific page. Well, the navigate widget works based on audiences.
I know we haven’t spoken about audiences yet, but the concept I think you understand where now that– or once you start collecting lots of different types of people has contacted Mobile Monkey, and you start generating all these leads in these lists, you might want to segment out men and women by gender.
You might want to segment out titles and companies if you’ve collected that information. You might want to segment out people in different locations, all depending on your type of business.
Well, the navigate widget will allow you to select a specific audience that you’ve built and move people that just match that audience criteria to a separate page of your chat flow. It’s a really cool way to make sure people get to the right workflows.
If you’ve if you’re familiar with Constant Contact and MailChimp and HubSpot and you’ve built email workflows before, you’ve seen how this works where if a person clicks a certain page, put them in this workflow.
The navigate widget accomplishes the same thing. If we go and add the navigate widget, you’ll see that you could choose your audience. Right now, we only have all contacts.
We haven’t built audiences in this sample bot yet, but once we have some audiences built, let’s say I have men or all women from the last 20 days or all men from the last three days, I might want to now say if that person matches those audience criteria, and they’re on that audience list, put them into this chat blast or put them into this drip campaign.
The navigate is a very powerful feature which we’re going to use a lot to keep our users in the right workflow at the right time. Then, once I select my audience, I’ll move them into whichever page. If I want to move them to the gallery widget page, I’ll select that page, and then once they complete or if once they get up to the stage of the workflow where I add this navigate widget, remember, it’s very important. Once this navigate widget gets added, nothing else that comes below it will matter.
It’ll typically be the last widget on that page, and then they’ll be moved. Because once they get to that widget, it’s like a game of Uno, or I don’t know like lots of other card games. Once the card is played, something else is going to happen.
Once a person gets to this widget, they’re going to be moved into a different page and whatever other widgets would come after, it becomes moot they, become meaningless. This again, would typically be the last widget on any given page to get people into the right workflow.
